We understand there is a lot of different media circulating regarding start up for community sports. After consultations with Little Athletics NSW we have looked at all the pros and cons to decide which is the safest and best way to proceed with the 2021/2022 season.

We are pleased to announce that at this stage our first competition night will be Friday, 3rd December 2021 with registrations due to open on 1 November 2021.

To assist with the financial costs due to the shortened season, we have decided to keep our registration and uniform prices the same as last season.

Please remember that Little Athletics NSW does accept Active Kids Vouchers !

27 September 2021

“The NSW Government announced this morning community sport will recommence when the 80 per cent double vaccination target has been met.

From the Monday after NSW hits the 80 per cent (aged 16 and over) double dose vaccination target, eased restrictions will allow those who are fully vaccinated to have up to 10 people visit their home, participate in community sport, and access hospitality venues (where drinking while standing up will be allowed indoors). All premises will operate at 1 person per 4sqm indoors, and 1 person per 2sqm outdoors.

In addition to this, it is anticipated that community sport will open for all of as 1 December. For more information, please see the FACT SHEET (https://lansw.com.au/an-update-on-the-return-to-community-sport-27-september/)

Over the coming weeks, NSW Health and the Office of Sport will work with the sports sector to finalise the details and requirements for the recommencement of community sport. We appreciate there will be questions regarding any restrictions that will be in place, and we will provide more clarity as soon as it becomes available.”

29th August 2021

Due to the further extensions of the stay at home orders across the state, LANSW has made the decision not to open registrations for Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Shellharbour on 30 August.
LANSW have advised that they are undertaking scenario planning based on the information available and will communicate further details as soon as possible.
LANSW appreciates your understanding at this challenging time, and as soon as there is some confidence of when we might be able to commence the Little Athletics season in Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Shellharbour LANSW will commence taking registrations.
We will provide further updates as they become available from LANSW.

2nd August 2021
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during the current lockdown.
We have received an update from Little Athletics NSW regarding the upcoming season and registrations. Registrations were due to go live on 2nd August 2021, however, unfortunately due to restrictions in place LANSW has made the difficult decision to postpone the opening of registrations for centres in the Greater Sydney area due to the Government restrictions in place.
At this stage, registrations will open on Monday, 30th August 2021, however, this is subject to change at any time due to the ongoing covid outbreak.
We will provide updates as further information becomes available
We look forward to seeing you in the 2021/2022 season.
